MUTABLE SIGN VIRGO

PRASIOLITE AS A BIRTHSTONE

All Virgos born in August are assigned prasiolite, also called green quartz or green amethyst, as a birthstone. Its name is derived from the two Greek words “prason” (leek) and “lithos” (stone), which alludes to its typical green colouring.

The prasiolite has the following properties:

·        It provides safety and calm.

·        It helps to keep the body in balance and promotes intuition.

LAPIS LAZULI AS A BIRTHSTONE

The azure-blue lapis lazuli (“lapis“ = Latin for stone; “azul“ = Arabic for blue) is the birthstone for all Virgos born in September. Lapis lazuli was regarded as the precious stone of the Pharaohs. It was also worked into the death mask of Tutankhamun, for example. It is said that lapis lazuli is the stone of relationships and friendships.

The lapis lazuli has the following properties:

·        It stands for purification, enlightenment, strength and vitality.

·        It leads to wisdom and honesty.
