MILKY AQUAMARINE AS A BIRTHSTONE

Milky aquamarine is the birthstone for all Aries born in March. Based on its colour (Latin: "aqua marina" = seawater) it has been regarded as a lucky stone for mariners for centuries. According to legend, aquamarine comes directly from a secret treasure chest of the mermaids. In the Middle Ages it was called beryl and used as a healing stone for vision.

 

The milky aquamarine has the following properties:

·          It provides strength and protects the airways.

·          It helps with allergies and hay fever. 

ROCK CRYSTAL AS A BIRTHSTONE

All Aries born in April are assigned the clear rock crystal as s birthstone. Its name can be traced back to the Greek word “krystallos”, which means ice. In ancient times, the stone was thought to be fossilised ice that could no longer melt. During the 18th century the word “rock” was added to describe the rocky mining area where the mineral was found.
