On Thursday July 8th THOMAS SABO celebrated the launch of the latest jewellery collection, autumn/winter Collection 2010 at St Marks Church, One Mayfair. The jewellery reflects a place full of wonder, mystery, memories and tales and was brought to life in a lavish party, recreating the wild funhouse that has inspired the new range.
Special guests on the night included Beth Ditto, whose individual style and rock anthems had the crowd dancing and yelling for more. Flying in from her European tour, she performed an exclusive set for THOMAS SABO guests only. Beth was joined by up and coming rock chick Coco Sumner, who dazzled the crowd with her powerful vocals on new single Self Machine. A line up of top European DJs graced the decks, with supermodel Jesus Luz’s set blowing the 1820s vaulted roof off St Marks. Music mixed with sports royalty, as Formula 1 driver Nico Rosberg (and girlfriend Vivian Sibold) joined the party direct from Silverstone just in time for Nico to take part in the 2010 Formula 1 British Grand Prix this weekend.
The hottest, most fun urban party of the Summer; St Marks provided an ideal setting to let THOMAS SABO’s glittering jewellery shine under the spotlights. International guests were expecting a night to be remembered, which were exited.. The launch of the new Autumn/Winter was an authentic celebration of music, fashion, dancing and spectacular jewellery, in spectacular surroundings.

The international lifestyle label THOMAS SABO, famous for its high-end Sterling Silver jewellery and watches, unveiled its first fragrance in Munich.
The Charm Rose eau de parfum adds a new sensual dimension to the THOMAS SABO Charm Club collection, successful since 2006. The attributes of “Luck, Fashion, Love & Passion” have been subtly transferred to the perfume concept – from the fragrance to the bottle to the packaging.
The refreshingly eclectic and inspiring fragrance creation Charm Rose features flowery, fruity and oriental notes. The fragrance offers women of all ages every opportunity to express their individual passions and obsessions.
From August 2010 Charm Rose eau de parfum will be available exclusively at Douglas in Germany and at THOMAS SABO shops in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. From September 2010 the fragrance will be presented in THOMAS SABO shops worldwide. Parallel to the launch in individual countries, Charm Rose will also be available in the THOMAS SABO online shop.
To present the perfume Charm Rose the THOMAS SABO creative team came up with something really special. The Munich location “Spiegelsalon” was styled totally in the look of the THOMAS SABO Charm Club Collection. The alluring 1950s boudoir look in black, white and red, allowed the approximately 250 international guests to immerse themselves in the world of the new THOMAS SABO perfume. As the highlight of the evening, the Danish singer Aura Dione performed and thrilled the audience with her mix of chart hits such as “I will love you Monday“ or “Song for Sophie“. Other celebrity guests and fragrance fans included international top model Julia Stegner, It Girl and blogger Hanneli Mustaparta, the actresses Jessica Schwarz, Nadine Warmuth and Vijessna Ferkic, Miss Europe Shermine Shahrivar and presenters such as Annika Kipp, Annemarie Warnkross, Eva Grünbauer and Thorunn Egilsdottir.
THOMAS SABO creative director Susanne Kölbli was thrilled with the successful presentation: “For me, merging jewellery and perfume by creating a fragrance is a logical development. The diverse Charm Club world, with its more than 450 collector’s pendants, is perfectly complemented by our new fragrance Charm Rose and its sensual statement of “Luck, Fashion Love & Passion“.

On June 4, 2010, THOMAS SABO set a further milestone in its 26-year history. With the opening of an approximately 50-square-metre store in Las Vegas, the lifestyle label once again underlined its ambition to successfully continue its systematic international growth in the land of unlimited possibilities. At the opening, the Mayor of Las Vegas, Oscar Goodman, declared that June 4, 2010 was the official THOMAS SABO Day in Las Vegas. Thomas Sabo thanked him personally in his speech and explained the importance of the city for the company: “Las Vegas is one of the most exciting retail capitals of the world and we are thrilled to be able to expand with a fabulous store at the Grand Canal Shoppes. THOMAS SABO and Las Vegas are a perfect fit; lively, international and always one step ahead. To emphasise our dedication to Las Vegas, we have designed several special edition Las Vegas Charms that will only be available here.”
The new store at the Grand Canal Shoppes at the Venetian Resort Hotel features the company’s latest corporate design and is the third THOMAS SABO-owned shop in the US to date. In addition to customers from North America and the US and Canadian media, American celebrities were invited to congratulate Thomas Sabo personally on the grand opening of the new store. Flying in especially from New York was international It Girl Olivia Palermo, to congratulate Thomas Sabo and wear the label’s latest items of jewellery. The 24-year-old New Yorker, who rose to fame in the MTV series “The City” and with her “Today, I’m Wearing” column in US VOGUE, is considered a leading trendsetter and has become a staple in virtually every fashion magazine throughout the world. And Nicky Hilton, renowned for her style and flair for trends, took the opportunity to personally wish Thomas Sabo all the best for his new store and she chose some new favourite Charms at the same time. Furthermore, around 150 exclusively-invited guests from the US, Canada and Germany celebrated the German lifestyle label’s new store. Following the official reception at the shop, Thomas Sabo invited his guests to an exclusive after-launch party at city’s hip nightclub, TAO.

What has already been evident since the first Formula 1 race of the season in Bahrain has now been officially confirmed: the lifestyle label THOMAS SABO is an official personal sponsor of Mercedes driver, Nico Rosberg.
On the occasion of the exclusive cooperation launch, the company founder Thomas Sabo invited professional racing driver Nico Rosberg and a select group of press representatives to the THOMAS SABO flagship in the company’s home town of Nuremberg.
And the bond could not be more natural: passion and dynamism – these sum up THOMAS SABO perfectly and are also attributes that apply to motor racing. And it seems only natural that the lifestyle label is now also taking poll position in Formula 1. With the partnership with Mercedes driver Nico Rosberg, THOMAS SABO has decided to join forces with one of the most promising drivers of the 2010 season, which Nico has already proved with the impressive result in Bahrain.
Company founder Thomas Sabo commented during the press conference in Nuremberg: “Nico is young, dynamic and also a true rebel behind the wheel. For this reason, he perfectly reflects the “drive” of our brand. We are therefore particularly thrilled to line up with him at the start of the new season.”
And CEO Bernd Stadlwieser is also convinced by the new collaboration: “The prospect of building a long-term bond with Nico Rosberg is decisive for me. I very much look forward to our partnership”.
Initially for the next two years, Nico Rosberg – who loves wearing THOMAS SABO jewellery in private – will also add a sparkle to his work gear with the lifestyle label: from now on, the THOMAS SABO name will feature prominently on his racing suit, cap and helmet.
“I am really looking forward to collaborating with THOMAS SABO. The brand is the perfect match for my racing and me.”, commented the son of racing legend Keke Rosberg.
This year, THOMAS SABO once again supported the German Film Ball as the co-sponsor. The annual ball in Munich brought industry representatives together with national and international film stars and numerous celebrities from business, politics and sports, to celebrate the successful 2009 movie year. Gracing the red carpet on Saturday, January 16, 2010 were stars including Verona Pooth, Simon Verhoeven and Jana Pallaske.
As in previous years, THOMAS SABO created a charm exclusively for the Film Ball, which was presented to the guests as a memento of a fabulous evening: the charm pendant in the shape of a gaming chip is an attractive souvenir, which will become quite a collector’s item.
And the traditional roulette for the benefit of the German Film Artists Emergency Fund proved particularly popular among the guests. This was the first time that THOMAS SABO supplied the design for the roulette table. This time, the classical symbols of the individual fields on the table were also accompanied by Charm Club motifs. Furthermore, THOMAS SABO supported the roulette prizes with three glamorous jewellery sets.
On December 3, 2009, THOMAS SABO invited the international fashion and lifestyle press to the launch of the new Sterling Silver Collection for Spring/Summer 2010 at Hagenbeck Zoo in Hamburg. More than 250 guests from 15 different countries celebrated the new creations of the lifestyle label which was very impressively presented – appropriate for the beginning of the new collection’s topical adventure journey – directly adjacent to the shark atoll. The entire collection was inspired by an incredible journey: the discovery of unknown worlds and alien cultures is expressed in an emotional mix of colours, symbols and glamorous jewels. Thomas Sabo, his wife Luz-Enith and Creative Director Susanne Kölbli welcomed countless celebrity guests to this dazzling evening event: Thomas Kretschmann, Shermine Sharivar, Natascha Ochsenknecht, Sophia Thomalla, Alexander Mazza, Tom Beck, Ole Tillmann, Janin Reinhardt and Kostja Ullmann along with Ira Meindl and Janina Delia Schmidt were transfixed by the jewels’ unmistakable THOMAS SABO look. And London It-Girl and model, Kimberly Stewart, daughter of Rod Stewart, soon found her favourite items of THOMAS SABO jewellery.
The impressive location, the moody sounds of the live percussionists and the hot party beat provided by the Berlin-based DJ trio, White Label, ensured that this hugely successful event continued long into the early hours of the morning.

This year, the THOMAS SABO lifestyle label provided a double delight for the RTL Donation Marathon. To this end, the Franconian entrepreneur and his Creative Director Susanne Kölbli joined forces again to create an exclusive charity bracelet in a strictly limited edition of 3,500. The entire proceeds were generously rounded up to € 200,000 by Thomas Sabo personally.
Furthermore, the THOMAS SABO camper van, a VW Samba T1 from 1966, was also auctioned off in the live broadcast of the event this year. In addition to the above-mentioned amount, the camper – with an opening bid of € 60,000 at the start of the show – helped increase the total donations on the night.
Company founder Thomas Sabo and his wife Luz Enith Sabo have been committed to worldwide children’s aid projects for many years now – so it was merely a point of honour that they would be active in this charity project as well.

On November 4, THOMAS SABO celebrated – along with around 80 guests – celebrated the 50th birthday of the global fashion icon BARBIE. For the occasion, THOMAS SABO created an exclusive edition of six Barbie Charm pendants, which were presented to an elite circle of invited guests at the Munich shop in Theatinerstraße. These included representatives of Mattel Germany such as Dr. Stephanie Wegener and Monika Bleile along with various VIPs and press guests.
Star violinist David Garrett was the surprise of the evening and created the festive setting with a performance. VIP guests Karen Webb, Annemarie Warnkross and Jana Wall, were blown away by his performance and thrilled by the THOMAS SABO Charm Club Collection. Finger food, drinks and a birthday cake for Barbie rounded off a perfect evening.

On October 28, it was "Time for Party" in Toronto. THOMAS SABO invited around 150 guests to the grand launch event at the hip club "Ultra" in Downtown Toronto. The guests included the most influential fashion journalists and stylists and even press representatives from Montreal came to this unmissible event. They were thrilled by the Sterling Silver, the Charm Club and the Watches collections, presented by models on the catwalk.
Celebrities such as TV presenter Tanya Kim, actresses Tara Spencer-Nairn and Stacey Farber and the trendy band Fritz Helder & The Phantoms became THOMAS SABO brand ambassadors for the evening. This enabled the company to acquire new THOMAS SABO fans in Canada in an impressive party ambience.

Under the “Time for party” motto, the THOMAS SABO brand was officially launched in Australia on October 13. The company invited guests to the opening of the first Australian shop in the Queen Victoria Building, and 53 press representatives from such esteemed magazines as Vogue, InStyle, Harpers Bazaar, GQ and Grazia, who were all able to admire the new shop and the fabulous collections. The evening was MCd by Natalie Bassingthwaithe, the well-known Australian actress and presenter, who was particularly thrilled to be able to introduce Thomas Sabo to the invited guests.
Then the guests were treated to a spectacular program with a fabulous party atmosphere at the trendy eatery “The Ivy”. Around 400 press and society guests, customers and celebrities, including the famous Australian presenter Axel Whitehead, enjoyed the finger food and drinks and admired the collections, which were impressively displayed by models during the evening.
Once again, the White Label DJ trio spurred the guests along as did the celebrity DJ, Paul Mac, (with a singer!) with a fabulous party mix, ensuring that the guests partied later into the night. Unanimous feedback: “A fantastic party, which the party crowd wanted to go on forever despite the fact that it was a Tuesday night!”.
