Since 2001, the big fundraising event of BILD has taken place once a year on ZDF: "A Heart for Children". Here the German aid organisation calls for donations for children and families in need, which are collected with the help of prominent telephone operators. Also in 2020, many viewers and countless stars have together donated a huge sum: a total of 25,977,285 euros.

    50,000 euros for "A ❤️ for Children"

Among the generous donors are jewellery entrepreneur Thomas Sabo and star violinist David Garrett. The musician and Mr. Sabo have supported this year's charity campaign with a donation of 50,000 euros.

    A matter of the heart

During the fundraising David Garrett handed over the cheque to TV presenter Johannes B. Kerner - especially on behalf of Mr. Sabo. For years, the founder of the company and David have had a close friendship and the same charitable interests - such as the fundraising campaign for Ein Herz für Kinder (A Heart for Children).

When it comes to children and families in need, I FEEL THE URGE TO help. The well-being of disadvantaged people is a matter of the heart for me and, if I can make a positive contribution to this, then I do so.

    For a good cause

This is not the first time that Thomas Sabo has been socially committed to helping disadvantaged children around the world. He has already supported the charity event of the RTL fundraising marathon for the 14th time and his wife Rita Sabo also shows full commitment when it comes to children in need.
