The message behind the new Rising Phoenix collection is reinventing yourself and redefining your strengths. Have you have ever reinvented yourself? Why, and how?
I did in fact change my life from one day to the next. I was actually a primary school teacher for eight years before I decided to quit my job and do what makes me happy. I have been a freelance content creator for around three years now.
Who or what are the most important support-givers in your life which give you confidence?
Definitely my family. Even though we don’t see each other often and everyone lives in different places, we write or call each other every day. For me, they are the most important people in my life.
As an influencer, you share your life with your followers and live in the public eye – where do you get the inner strength that you exude in your photos?
I get my inner strength from my friends, who I love meeting for a coffee. But also when I travel, because that often inspires me to go in a certain direction with my photos for Instagram.
Is fashion and jewellery a factor for you when it comes to looking confident?
Not a day goes by that I do not wear any jewellery. It gives every outfit an individual note. I really do feel better when I am wearing jewellery, and that probably shows on the outside too.
Do you look for jewellery based on your outfit or the other way around?
More the other way around. When I discover a jewellery range that I love, I adapt my outfit to that, because I think that the focus should be on the jewellery.
If you had to describe your style in three words, what would they be? What is your inspiration?
I am quite minimalist and classic and like to show outfits that are suitable for everyday wear. I usually get my inspiration from social media, from fellow bloggers and right now also from TikTok, because I see a lot of fashion inspo there.
The phoenix pendant is the key piece of the new THOMAS SABO collection – what would you wear it with?
I think that the phoenix should definitely take centre stage. So I would opt for a subtle outfit in the colours white, grey, beige or black. A white blouse with grey suit trousers, a matching blazer and black loafers. Simple, classic and stylis
