A total love of football and social commitment: these are the attributes that unite German football star Lukas Podolski and Thomas Sabo, founder and Chairman of THOMAS SABO.
Just before the World Cup in Brazil, the two met up in London to talk about joint charity projects. Furthermore, Thomas Sabo presented the German national player with an exclusive DFB talisman for Brazil.
The two sports lovers hold disadvantaged children both in Germany and abroad very close to their hearts. And Thomas Sabo is underlining his commitment to disadvantaged children with a donation of 20,000 euros to the Lukas Podolski Foundation. Furthermore, he presented the record-breaking player with a customised bracelet from the exclusive THOMAS SABO DFB jewellery range for the 2014 World Cup. The item of jewellery, especially created for the German national team, will hopefully bring Lukas Podolski lots of luck in Brazil.
Following the World Cup, the Arsenal centre forward will be auctioning off his personal talisman on his foundation’s Website – www.lukas-podolski-stiftung.de – in favour of a benefit project.
