A matter of the heart ─ THOMAS SABO supports the British Heart Foundation

Charity

With the exclusive support of THOMAS SABO, the ‘Tunnel of Love’ charity event of the British Heart Foundation took place in London on November 12, 2013 under the motto ‘Mending broken Hearts’.

For more than 50 years now, the British Heart Foundation has been initiating preventative, treatment and research projects focussing on the topic of heart disease. The declared aim of the evening was to raise as much money in donations as possible so as to use it to ‘mend broken hearts’. Numerous stars, including Alexa Chung, Eliza Doolittle, Laura Jackson, Jodie Kidd and Daisy Lowe gathered for this good cause at the charity gala held at the venerable One Mayfair venue.

In addition to the exclusive ‘Tunnel of love’ admittance bracelets, THOMAS SABO supported the event with a diamond-embellished, heart-shaped medallion made from 18-carat rose gold, which harbours a further, small heart made from 18-carat white gold in the centre. The one-off piece had been designed especially for this exclusive charity event and was auctioned off during the evening. The entire hammer price – several thousand pounds – went to the British Heart Foundation.

All in all, more than a quarter of a million pounds were raised for the good cause on the evening, all of which will be invested in heart research.
