How can I take advantage of the THOMAS SABO repair service?
We hope that you are completely satisfied with your THOMAS SABO products.
Should a product be faulty or damaged, we will check whether statutory rights in respect of defects (warranty) apply or whether a repair subject to a charge is possible. For purchases made on or after 1 August 2026, THOMAS SABO does not provide a voluntary manufacturer’s warranty. Any warranty already granted for earlier purchases will remain in force in accordance with the warranty terms and conditions applicable at the time of purchase.
In advance as a small note for you, a repair can take about 4-6 weeks from the time it is accepted.
If you would like to use our repair service, you can hand over the defective piece of jewellery at all THOMAS SABO own stores (except THOMAS SABO Outlets.) or send it directly to us.
In the event of a potential statutory defect, please contact our Customer Service or a THOMAS SABO retail outlet before returning the item. Before we carry out statutory rectification, we will inform you of your right to choose between repair and replacement. If the rectification takes the form of a repair, the original limitation period for claims for defects will be extended once by twelve months.
If you would like to return defective goods directly to us for repair, please proceed as follows:
Fill in the service form and note the return reason as well as the return quantity.
Place the goods to be returned as well as the service form in the package and pack it safely.
Please include proof of purchase with your return where possible, particularly if the item was not purchased via our online shop. This helps us to identify the date of purchase and the seller, and to assess your statutory rights in respect of defects.
Please agree on the delivery method with our Customer Service team in advance. In the case of statutory claims for defects, the statutory rules on the allocation of costs apply. For repairs subject to a charge that fall outside the scope of statutory liability for defects, you will be responsible for the cost of posting the item. Please send the item securely packed and in a traceable parcel to the following address:
THOMAS SABO GmbH & Co. KG
- Retoure -
Silberstraße 1
91207 Lauf
Germany
Please keep the shipping receipt well for any queries. We are liable for damage, loss or theft during transport organised by you in accordance with the statutory provisions.
Further important information:
We will repair faulty THOMAS SABO jewellery items for which no claims under statutory liability for defects apply – provided this is possible in our professional judgement – subject to a charge.
A repair subject to a charge is only possible if the item can be repaired professionally and the necessary spare parts are available. Previous repairs, alterations or additions carried out by third parties will only preclude this service if they prevent the item from being repaired professionally or if the damage to be repaired was caused by such work.
We have a supply of stones and other components for the repair of items from older collections. However, we are not able to guarantee the replacement of all parts.
If a repair subject to a charge is not possible or would be disproportionate, we will inform you accordingly. Any replacement will be agreed with you on a case-by-case basis.
THOMAS SABO does not have fixed repair prices. You will receive a non-binding quote and can then decide whether and which repairs should be carried out.
In the case of a repair subject to a charge, the costs for return postage, as notified in advance, may also apply. These costs may also arise if you do not accept the repair quote.
Can I have my THOMAS SABO jewellery refurbished by you (expert inspection & cleaning)?
THOMAS SABO offers an exclusive restoration service. We intensively clean and polish the jewellery. Restoration treatment is carried out within our in-house jewelry workshop. The piece of jewellery usually looks ‘new’ again after the service is completed. However, we are not able to guarantee a successful end result.
Excluded from the restoration service are leather and satin straps, leather wristbands, knotted pearl necklaces, discoloured pearls and deep scratches or substantial damage on silver parts.
If you would like to use our restoration service, you can hand in the jewellery at all THOMAS SABO own stores (except THOMAS SABO Outlets.) or send it directly to us.
If you would like to return goods directly to us for restoration service, please proceed as follows:
Fill in the service form and note the return reason as well as the return quantity.
Place the goods to be returned as well as the service form in the package and pack it safely.
Please agree on the delivery method with our Customer Service team in advance and send the item, securely packed in a trackable parcel, to the following address:

Please keep the shipping receipt well for any queries. We are liable for any damage, loss or theft during transport organised by you, in accordance with the relevant legal provisions.
Further important information:
We will gladly make you a non-binding quote. You can then decide whether and which restoration service should be carried out.
Please note that costs for the return of the jewellery may apply in addition to the restoration costs. These may apply even if you do not opt to have restoration treatment carried out.
The tarnishing of silver is a normal and natural process. The jewellery absorbs skin particles, perfume, cosmetics, etc. and also oxidises over time due to the sulphur in our air. This causes the silver to turn in a brownish colour. This is a natural reaction (which occurs also in gold jewellery), which is not due to a lack of quality.
Please note that THOMAS SABO jewellery is not rhodium-plated. There are some basic rules that you should follow in order for you to enjoy your precious and beautiful pieces of jewellery as long as possible. You can read about these in details under the section named Caring instructions about our Jewellery.
Furthermore, THOMAS SABO offers an exclusive restoration service. We intensively clean and polish the jewellery. Restoration treatment is carried out within our in-house jewelry workshop. For more information see restoration service.
What legal rights do I have if a product is faulty?
Statutory rights relating to defects (warranty) apply to defective products. These rights are enforceable against the seller of the item in question.
If you purchased the item from the THOMAS SABO Online Shop or from a THOMAS SABO-owned retail outlet, please contact our Customer Service team or a THOMAS SABO-owned retail outlet. If you purchased the item from an independent retail partner, that seller is generally your point of contact.
As part of the remedy, you may generally choose between the rectification of the defect (repair) and the delivery of goods free from defects (replacement). This right of choice may be restricted in accordance with statutory requirements, in particular in cases of impossibility or disproportionate costs.
Statutory rectification is free of charge for you. The seller shall bear the necessary costs, in particular transport, labour and material costs, in accordance with the statutory provisions.
Before carrying out statutory rectification, we will inform you of your right to choose between repair and replacement. If the defect is rectified by repair, the original limitation period for claims for defects shall be extended once by twelve months in accordance with the statutory provisions.
If the rectification fails, is refused or if the other statutory conditions are met, you may, in particular, be entitled to rescind the contract, claim a reduction in price or claim damages.
Normal wear and tear, loss, theft, improper handling or damage caused subsequently do not, in themselves, give rise to statutory rights in respect of defects. A repair, alteration or engraving carried out by a third party does not automatically invalidate statutory rights in respect of defects; the decisive factor is, in particular, whether the damage claimed was caused by such action.
Please contact us before sending the item in and, if possible, have proof of purchase to hand. The date of purchase and the retailer from whom the item was purchased are crucial for the assessment.
THOMAS SABO does not provide a voluntary manufacturer’s warranty for purchases made on or after 1 August 2026. For older purchases where a voluntary warranty was provided at the time of purchase, the warranty terms in force at that time continue to apply.
The loss or theft of an item does not, in principle, constitute a material defect. If the loss may be due to a product defect, we will examine the individual case. Please provide any remaining parts and, if possible, proof of purchase.
